Hello Ladies! I hope this finds all of you in good health and spirits. Your husbands, sons, and brothers are doing fine here. The weather is starting to heat up here. The battery weight loss program is about to swing into full effect. As this month comes to a close, we are transitioning into a new mission. Bravo battery is about to take over the base defense mission. That mission basically consists of manning the gates and observation posts around the compound. We have been conducting training for this mission for a few weeks now. I assure you that we are well prepared.
I am very excited about first platoon coming back to camp Junction City to join the rest of the battery. We received some new soldiers to the battery in the last month. We have welcomed them in and they are adapting to our missions here just fine.
The Marines have replaced the 82nd Airborne Division. We are working side by side with them to accomplish our missions here. They have renamed the Camps here. Your mail will be fine if you have sent packages that say Camp Junction City. Our camp is now called Ar Ramadi. While there are quite a few more people on camp now, we have had no problems with them in our day to day activities.
We did have a reenlistment this month. SPC Ruiz signed on for two more years. We are very proud of him and wish him the best in the future. He has a bright future in the Army should he decide to make it a career.
We regret that we will not be there to celebrate Easter with our families. We hope that you have a good holiday and remember the reason for the season. Good luck and God bless you all!
